Linn County Conservation built the Wickiup Hill Learning Center in 2002 and completed its expansion in 2012. The center was built to provide opportunities “for people to experience the outdoors and develop an awareness and admiration of nature.”
Wickiup Hill Learning Center is located just NW of the Cedar Rapids near Toddville. (Go west on Blairs Ferry to Feather Ridge Road; right on Feather Ridge to Morris Hills Road; left on Morris Hills Road. The center is at the end of the road on the right.)
Wickiup Hill Learning Center features an educational nature center, as well as:
- Variety of programs and classes for all ages
- Bird viewing area
- Wildlife viewing area
- Interpretive trails
- Observation deck
- Wetland boardwalk
- Prairie, woodland, and savanna habitats
